Feb. 7. Letter to mother, goes to school all day and studies at night, trunk hasn’t arrived, mentions sanitary conditions. His quarters are not part of school grounds. Feb. 8, continues letter and how he is enjoying his stay. Attended lectures about what to expect when course is over and he believes they will be assigned as instructors, perhaps in the U.S. He mentions none of them have received letters and suggests they write to him at the Second Corps School, AEF.
