The Department of Music records were generated and collected by the Music Department at Kansas State University and pertains to the files of former department head Robert A. Steinbauer, the Tau Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha, and Kansas Music Teacher Association Collegiate Chapter. The records document correspondence, courses, rosters, ledgers, and meeting minutes. Significant information includes organizational fundraising, piano pedagogy and music history courses, ceremony instructions, recital programs, and personal notes. Approximate years covered in the records are 1958-1994.

The Dean Brice G. Hobrock collection encompasses the major growth of the KSU Library system during his tenure as Dean of Libraries at Kansas State. The collection spans from 1982 to 2005 and is 20 cubic feet.
The collection includes a large amount of correspondence from Hobrock to Jean Darbyshire, Karen Cole, Linda Beckwith, Bob Kreger, Jean McDonald, and Kathy Fronce from 1994 to 2000; the correspondence and memorandum papers mainly concern important library and KSU issues. In addition, this collection also contains a substantial amount of information regarding the renovation of Farrell library and the construction of the Hale additions in the mid-1990s, including building moves, funding, architectural and engineering papers, and building history.
This series also includes the Dean's legacy project, strategic planning, library administrative papers, the United States Agricultural Information Network(USAIN), Library endowments, and external relations with the KSU Foundation, regional universities. and China, library budget 1986-2005, and ARL annual salary reviews and statistics. The administrative papers include acquisitions, annual reports, Big 12 correspondence, the board of regents correspondence, budget info and planning, capital improvement plans, Council of directors and Deans of libraries, collection management, faculty evaluations, tenure and promotion, Friends of the Library, minority student concerns, correspondence with the state of Kansas, library issues and planning, multicultural affairs, the National Agricultural Library(NAL), a task force on issues facing women faculty, and virtual library development

Scrapbook of photos and writing related to the Wheat Queen Contest. The typed preface explains that the contest was held as part of the Wheat Festival in Hutchinson, KS. The photos are often of the contestants, their families, and homes, usually on farms in and around the area. Ephemera featured in this bound volume includes newspaper clippings and programs from academic and extracurricular activities, such as theatrical plays and basketball. Most writing is typed on separate pages from the ones containing photos, which often feature handwritten details.

These materials document a 1987 workshop at Kansas State University, "Principles and Techniques of Quality French Bread" by French baking professor Raymond Calvel, and 1995 and 1997 programs for meetings of the Amicale des Anciens Eleves et des Anis du Professeur Calvel, an association of former students and friends of Calvel.

Arts and Sciences Dean's Office Records contain documents noting course and curriculum changes, budgets for the 1988-1989 academic year, and tenure evaluations for professors within the departments. Correspondence from President Jon Wefald, and Vice-President Bob Krause, to the Arts and Sciences department are also included, which discuss enrollment numbers for the 1987-1988 school year.

The K-State Salina Archival Records contain subject files, committee records, Deans’ records, campus agreements and title, student organization, and special event records that range from the 1960s to 2023. Additionally, the records contain photographic records that document the history of the K-State Salina campus including Kansas Technical Institute, and the Shilling Institute. The records are organized by series. There are also a number of items that are non-paper records, such as, tee-shirts, flags, and banners.

Box 1, A83412011885- Contains Class Roll Books dated from 1908-1954. The books are separated by professor and year. The books within are: F.C. Harris: Fall/Winter 1910-1911 and Spring 1910-1912. M.S. Brandt: Fall/ Winter 1908 and Spring 1909. Stanley Smith: Fall/Spring 1914-1915. Harold A. Barr: Fall/Spring 1921-1923. C.F. Baker: Spring 1918-1919. Linus B. Smith: Fall 1929-1930. C.L. Carjola: Fall/ Spring 1928-1929. There is also a final roll book not labeled by a professor, but dated for Spring 1954. Most of the books reference architecture classes.
Box 2, A83412059142- Contains Financial documents, treasurer information and records from the K.S.C. (Kansas State College/ now Kansas State University) Student Chapter of American Institute of Architecture (A.I.A). There are checkbooks, receipts, pay stubs, bank information, and other material related to the AIA and their financial process dated for the 1950’s.
Box 3, A83412059150- Contains six (6) file folders labeled “Pise de Terre.” The first one contains Correspondence to Paul Weigel, as well as some architectural sketches and newspaper clippings. The second and third contain architectural sketches on tracing paper. The fourth has booklets called: The Use of Earth as a Building Materials, Research in Farm Structures, Poultry Houses and Equipment for Kansas, Northwestern Apple Packing Houses, U.S. Department of Agriculture- Farmers Bulletin No. 1500- Rammed Earth Walls for Buildings, as well as a paper called “Pise de Terre Houses” and one over “Houses Built of Rammed Earth.” The fourth folder also has correspondence to Professor Paul Weigel. The fifth folder has booklets called: How to Build Your Own Home of Earth, Rammed Earth Walls for Buildings, Rat Proofing Buildings and Premises, Farm Dairy Houses, Principles of Dairy- Barn Ventilation, Home Storage of Vegetables, Potato Storage and Storage Houses. Additionally, there are papers over experiments on packed earth and soil content and use cases. The last binder has more papers on packed earth and soil content experiments, a blueprint and booklets labeled: Planning and Construction of Cottages, Experiment Station Progress, Building with Rammed Earth-Cement, Adobe Construction, a Qualitive Comparison of Rammed Earth and Sun-Dried Adobe Brick, and Adobe as a Construction Material in Texas.
Box 4, A83412052174- Contains 3 binders. The first one is a Meeting Minute book for the Student Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) dated 1958-1959 and 1968-1969. There are also two scrapbooks on the AIA dated from 1958-1965 and the second one is 1963-1969. The scrapbooks contain photos of members of the club, projects done by them, newspaper clippings, blueprints, and art by the group.

The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work records were generated and collected by the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work at Kansas State University and pertains to the files of former faculty member Dr. Martin Ottenheimer. The collection contains faculty meeting minutes, state directories, post-graduation statistic reports, and faculty workshop agendas. Significant information includes outlines for graduate programs, anticipated student learning outcomes, and plans for the department to adopt guidelines from the Kansas Board of Regents. Approximate years covered in the records are 1974-2004.
