Box 1- A83412044333- Contains files pertaining to the American Association of University Professors. There are letters, financial records, meeting agendas, conference details, membership details, tenure, and chapter letters. Files are from 1962-1967.

These materials are the A. Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communication's accreditation self-study report and re-accreditation recommendation from 2013-2014.

Items in the collection span 1961–1986 and include informative pamphlets, leaflets, guidebooks, and research relating to consumer interests and consumer behavior. Illustrated pamphlets published by the Bay Area Neighborhood Development address consumer issues such as signing contracts, buying food and appliances, and paying rent. Several pamphlets are in Spanish. Booklets offer advice to co-ops on campaigning, organizing, running, and reporting to owners, and include three authored by Mr. Danforth. One file labeled Center for Consumer Research contains flyers, research materials, newsletters, and correspondence. A publication titled "To Tell the Truth," published by the Cooperative League of the United States, provides an “illustrated outline of some of the consumer information and protection activities of American cooperatives.” Copies of KONSUM, the League’s newsletter, span 1972–1977. A newsletter towards the end of the run noted a lack of adequate funding for the League and stated budget cuts would limit the number of newsletters distributed.

The collection has publications from Frontier Cooperative Herbs and Midland Cooperatives, Inc. as well as a copy of the Golden Jubilee Journal and Kazan Memorial publication from the Amalgamated Housing Corporation (also listed as the Amalgamated Housing Cooperative). The Journal contains historical and biographical information about the co-op from 1951–1977, as well as congratulatory letters from Presidents Carter and Ford. Interestingly, there is a 1979 research paper about growth in consumer cooperatives from 1960–1980 by Ann Hoyt, an instructor in the Department of Family Economics at Kansas State University, in the collection. No tie to K-State is evident.

The Arthropod Genomics Center and Ecological Genomics Project was a part of the Targeted Excellence program through the Provost's Office beginning in 2005. More than 50 faculty members and about 100 totaly people worked with seasonal insects and ticks. They looked at genetics in ecological systems and changes due to environmental factors. This center is one of the pioneers in the area of both Anthropod and Ecological Genomics.
These records include information on an International Symposium and workshops, annual reports, budgets, activities, curriculum, infrastructure, newsletters, and records of visiting scientists.

Arts and Sciences Dean's Office Records contain documents noting course and curriculum changes, budgets for the 1988-1989 academic year, and tenure evaluations for professors within the departments. Correspondence from President Jon Wefald, and Vice-President Bob Krause, to the Arts and Sciences department are also included, which discuss enrollment numbers for the 1987-1988 school year.

The binders are labeled: AWS Fall All-Women’s Day 1961-1965, AWS Spring All- Women’s Day 1961-1966, AWS Committees Formal 1960-1962, AWS Executive Council 1964-1967, AWS Cultural Communication 1963-1967, AWS Get Acquainted Coffees 1962-1965, AWS Officers Reports 1962-1967, AWS Orientation 1961-1965, AWS Penny-A-Minute 1963-1966, AWS Policies 1968, AWS Publications 1963-1967, AWS Queens 1965-1969, AWS Rules Convention 1964-1966, AWS Service 1963-1968. A paper has a brief description of the boxes contents and it says that the AWS records were collected by Caroline Peine, the assistant dean of women at KSU.

The folder contains some pages from the first binder that are too old/ fragile to be in there, dated 1920-1923. The third and final binder is labeled “Association of Operative Miller’s Bulletin 1989,” and the binder contains the bulletin/ catalogues for “A.O.M’s 93rd Annual Conference & Trade Show.” Dated 1920- 1989.

These items include the following types of materials from the Beta Theta Pi, Gamma Epsilon chapter, fraternity at Kansas State University: photo of house mother and date (Amy DeLauro and Ray Crubel) in 1986, group photos of pledges in 1986 and 1988, composite photos from 1986 to 1988, and chapter publication, The Sphinx, from 1985 to 1988.

These materials include the 1965 dissertation of Robert Weldon "Bob" Newsome, extension faculty at Kansas State University from 1955 to 1994, titled "A Descriptive Study of the Origin, Development and Recent Major Trends of the Kansas Co-operative Agricultural Extension Service." Also included is his research for the dissertation and includes topics such as law and government, university budgeting, in-service training, adult education, and organization of extension services. Materials range from 1961 to 1965.
