Content and structure elements

Scope and content

This series contains audio and visual material related to the College of Veterinary Medicine during 1907-2014 on CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes, microcassette tapes, VHS tapes, and film reels. In Administrative Records, there is a film catalogue that may list some of the materials in this series. The CDs largely contain photographs and portrait backups. The DVDs contain recordings of events like talent shows, commencement, alumni fellow presentations in the Historical Perspectives series, and interviews. There is also a teaching aid DVD, as well as a College of Veterinary virtual tour DVD. The cassette and microcassette tapes are largely recordings of interviews for the history book, “A Century of Excellence: Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine” by Howard H. Erickson and Ronnie G. Elmore (see Series 2: Interview Transcripts and Tapes for more information). The VHS tapes contain recordings of tribute videos and interviews for “A Century of Excellence,” as well as events like award nominations, award ceremonies, dedication ceremonies, and alumni fellow presentations in the Historical Perspectives series. The film rolls/movie reels are unlabeled and it is unclear exactly what they contain. The majority of this material is dated between 1980-2010, as most of the content that predates that period only pertains to “A Century of Excellence.”
