These materials are from the Landon Lecture series including booklets from the 2006 lectures by George W. Bush and Sam Brownback, a ticket to Richard Nixon's 1970 lecture, a parking permit for Ronald Reagan's 1982 lecture, a souvenir photo print of Richard Nixon and Alf Landon from 1970, and an inscribed copy of William Boyer's 1968 book, Issues 1968.

The Warren N. White Jr. papers were generated during Dr. White’s career at K-State. The collection concerns Dr. White’s models, robots, and Kansas Electric Utilities (KEURP) research, as well as materials for the courses he taught. The work largely focuses on electrical engineering and robotics, although it contains some correspondence as well. Notably, there are records of his Galloping Line research from the 1980’s, his work on the General Electric P-50 Robo, and his collaborative work involving ball & beam and pendulum research. Approximate years covered by the records are 1977-2010.

The collection documents the family, travels, education, and art practice of Kansas State Agricultural College graduate and teacher Vida Agnes Harris (March 29, 1893-May 25, 1985) from 1915-1970. Correspondence includes a letter Harris wrote while working as a domestic science instructor at the American Missionary Society's Tillotson College in Austin, Texas (1915) and letters received from Margaret Justin, Dean of Home Economics (1923-1954). Three diaries record Harris' international trips: Europe (1930); Mexico (1940) and India (1951). Sketches, block prints, paintings, and handmade greeting cards represent her art and design techniques. One folder contains photocopied, handwritten, and typed recipes, a number of them credited to known associates.
Scant photographs and a notebook (1916-1918) pertain to her father, Samuel Murrell Harris (1858-1944), who operated the Hillside Dairy in Manhattan, Kansas. The photographs were taken during the early 1940s, and used by Ruth Linquist in her 1946 publication, Using and Sharing Our Hours (Chapel Hill, N.C.). Samuel M. Harris is shown at the site of his old barn, located at 700 Harris Avenue. Kansas State's Memorial Stadium, Anderson and Seaton Halls, and power plant may be seen in the distance.

These records from the Vice President for Research, Ron Trewyn, document his interactions from 1990 to 2010 with the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation, the Mid-America Commercialization Corporation, and Kansas Incorporated. These entities worked with the university's research foundation to bring the university's intellectual property to the marketplace.
The Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation (KTEC) records are hosued in Boxes 1 and 2, date from 1991 to 2010, and include board meeting agendas and minutes, inter-department correspondence, international correspondence, and financial, technical, and staff reports.
The Mid-American Commercialization Corporation (MACC) records are housed in Boxes 3 and 4, date from 1992 to 2003, and include board meeting agendas and minutes, planning documentation, and training information.
The Kansas Incorporated records are housed in Box 5, date from 1990 to 1997, and include board meeting agendas and minutes, planning documentation, and reports.

The Thomas E. Will papers contain business correspondence, printed material, Board of Regents minutes, reports, legal documents, notes and drafts, and newspaper clippings from 1896 to 1909, some of which is connected to Will's time as president of Kansas State Agricultural College (KSAC) from 1899 to 1901. There are approximately 430 items in the collection, which is housed in one document box. The papers are divided into seven series: 1) correspondence, 2) minutes, 3) legal documents, 4) reports, 5) printed material, 6) financial records, and 7) notes and drafts.
Correspondence with Regents, KSAC executive department members, KSAC faculty and staff, and the governor of Kansas make up a large portion of the collection. Also among correspondence are letters between J. D. Walters and Will. Many of the letters deal with normal procedures at KSAC, however, some of the correspondence concerns the resignation of President Will. The series is contained in five folders.
Board of Regents minutes make up the second series and they are contained in a single folder. Among the minutes are reactions of Regents (especailly Carl Vrooman and Susan St. John) to the dismissal of President Will and other college professors. Legal documents are filed in one folder, and many of them are contracts written up by the Board of Regents for college faculty and staff. Some of the contracts are actually signed by the Regents, but many of them are blank forms. Other legal records consist of statements of college debts owed and changes within the Board of Regents.
Reports, the fourth series, concern the political controversies around populism that caused outrage in Manhattan and KSAC. The fifth series, printed material, makes up a large portion of the collection. Such items as programs and articles concerning KSAC, articles written by Will, a Kansas Supreme Court brief by G.C. Clemons, and newspaper clippings are included in this series. Financial documents include statements and expenditures concerning the treasury department of KSAC. Also included in this series are copies of the college deficits for the fiscal years 1886–1899. Notes and drafts make up the final series of this collection. The authorship of many of these handwritten items is unknown and they are difficult to read.

Larry Weigel created the music on the CD for Tex Winter's birthday in 2010, and created the word art (tag cloud) in 2011 with help from Matt McCoy.  The words came from responses of former KSU basketball players to the question, "What word or phrase best describes Coach Winter?"

This is a small collection housed with the Ada Rice Papers (U2011.29) and the Office of Military Affairs (U2011.16).

This collection includes biographical information, correspondence, research materials, photographic materials, and other documentation of Tessie Agan and her professional studies, especially related to farm home design, space utilization, urban renewal, and aging. It contains pamphlets on the proper design of a farm home with other printed materials devoted to kitchens, living rooms, dining areas, cupboards, storage walls, and proper lighting. The collection also contains studies on the amount of time and labor spent on laundry and cleaning the bathroom, as well as the benefits of "garbage grinders" in a kitchen. Other areas of the collection are devoted to public housing needs for elderly and diverse populations, space requirements for preschool children, and research on children from a social service perspective.

The Student Senate records were from documents compiled by Bill Muir while serving as the administrative representative to the student senate between 1992 and 2011.  The records contain election results, minutes, agendas, articles, correspondence, budget allocations, and other documents relating to the student senate.  These documents cover a variety of topics with some being more predominate than others.  These topics are described in further detail.

    Debate and discussion about how to alleviate the parking problem on campus.  Topics of discussion mainly cover the idea of a parking garage being built on campus with a possibility of it being constructed as part of Memorial Stadium.
    The beginning of alcohol sales in the Student Union with reports and recommendations, including a final recommendation by the Student Senate.
    A tribunal ruling and articles involving a violation in general funding regulation regarding a magazine named “MetaZine”.

    The K-State honor system is debated being implemented as well post honor code bill passage information and discussion.

This collection combines from many sources stereographs from people connected to Kansas State University, as well as one record box of stereoscopes with miscellaneous parts in various conditions. The Morse Department of Special Collections created the alphabetical arrangement and storage of this collection.

This collection includes research and personal materials of Stephen L. and Enid Stover from 1956 to 2013. The bulk of the papers is from Stephen's time as a geography professor at Kansas State University, with his slides, diaries, and manuscripts dealing with global geography, Kansas agriculture, and the scholarship and instruction of his academic department. Major topical areas include Kansas, New Zealand, Australia, Stover genealogical materials, and extensive information on geographic subjects from around the world. Additional materials are from Enid, Stephen's wife, and include personal documents, works of poetry, and teaching materials. Included are Enid's diaries from 1981 to 2004 (some missing years), some identification cards, drafts of her poetry, and drafts of Sue Stover's 2012 biography of Enid and of a 2014 publication of Enid's poetry.

This collection documents the history of the Sigma Xi honorary society at Kansas State University and includes the following records: check register (1963–1983); secretary records that contain member lists, committee records, meeting minutes, correspondence, and election data (1923-1924 to 1964-1965, 1967-1968 to 1980-1981, and 1986-1987); membership lists (paper: 1936-1937 to 1984-1985, 1996-1997 to 1997-1998, and 2004-2005; digital: 1992-1993 to 1996-1997, 2000-2001, and 2004-2005); annual reports (1998, 2005); chapter information; historical data; and some correspondence with the national organization. Additional digital content includes award recipients, membership lists, committee minutes, executive minutes, banquet programs, and calendars (1992-1993 to 1996-1997, 2000-2001, and 2004-2005).

Photograph of short course students and instructors at Kansas State Agricultural College in February 1917.  One student was Maurice E. Dubbs, maternal grandfather of the donor.  He lived in Ransom, Ness County, Kansas, and took blacksmithing and woodworking courses in Manhattan.

The Sesquicentennial Steering Committee records contain materials related to Kansas State University's celebration of its 150th anniversary. There are records from the planning stage of the celebration such as meeting minutes and marketing plans. Also, this collection has information over the Kickoff Weekend, Wildcat March (auction totals and details), Grand Finale, the Gala 150 (guest list and invitations), and the time capsule. There are two books Wildcat March and Generations of Success. Other items in the collection are two-anniversary coins, two-anniversary pins, promotional posters, and three large sesquicentennial banners for each campus (Manhattan, Salina, and Olathe).

These papers include correspondence, photographs, publications, audio/visual items, events ephemera, and a poster.  The papers span from early 2009 to early 2011 and document the Schulz family’s activities after moving to Manhattan, Kansas.   These activities included Kirk Schulz’s presidency at Kansas State University, K-State sporting events, partnerships with Fort Riley, and Noel Schulz’s work with women’s issues.  The correspondence in this collection is predominately cards sent to the family for the inauguration of Kirk Schulz, and others wishing the family well.  The publications consist mainly of newspapers and other materials documenting the Schulz inauguration, as well as other major events at Kansas State University that included athletic competitions and the hiring of major Kansas State personnel.  The remainder of the material in the collection pertains to the presidency of Kirk Schulz.

This collection of materials from the Rusk family include two items from Marilyn "Maxine" Waite Rusk—a 1955 Little American Royal program and a 1961 K-State commencement announcement—and seven buttons collected by alumna Mona Rusk pertaining to student elections, K-State Athletics, and K-State.

The Class of 1911 used the Royal Purple March as a fundraiser for their senior arch at Kansas State Agricultural College. George August Westphalinger, a retired chief musician for the United States Army who led the K-State College Band in 1909-1910 and 1910-1911, wrote the piece in 1911. More details are available in issues of The Kansas Industrialist on May 13 and June 17, 1911.

This collection includes serial publications from African-American publishers throughout the nation between 1964 and 1978.  Robert Bontrager used these materials to teach his "Black Press in America" course from 1970 to 1989.  There is representation from national publications like Ebony Jr! and The Journal of Negro Education, as well as smaller publications like Sepia (Fort Worth, Texas) and The Facts (Seattle, Washington).

The Richard D. Rees papers are comprised of class notes from Rees’s tenure as a student at Kansas State University as well as various program documents, personal correspondence, market analysis of a feed firm, and milling industry bulletins. Class notes are from courses such as Elements of Milling, Elements of Dairy, General Biology I and II, Principles of Accounting, Agricultural Policy, and Money and Banking. Correspondence includes letters related to job interviews, employment at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, and the Short Course and Feed Production School in Kansas City. Also included are program documents from the Midwest Feed Manufacturers Association’s Feed Production School, the Management and Manufacturing Seminar. Also included are Rees’s master’s thesis and PhD classwork outlines.

This collection is primarily made up of records, programs, and correspondence between Reva Helen Lyne and various athletic programs and schools across Kansas during her involvement with Kansas State Women's Athletic Association (KSWAA) at Kansas State Agricultural College between 1923 and 1928. These letters mainly discuss plans for Central Sectional KSWAA conferences, information about selecting and receiving a shield for the Association, and other notes from WAA meetings about specific sports and student athletic records (track and field, basketball, etc.). Photographs from her childhood, college years, and wedding to Paul Russell are also included, as well as a diary from 1925 and her funeral service program from 2000.

These materials document a 1987 workshop at Kansas State University, "Principles and Techniques of Quality French Bread" by French baking professor Raymond Calvel, and 1995 and 1997 programs for meetings of the Amicale des Anciens Eleves et des Anis du Professeur Calvel, an association of former students and friends of Calvel.

The scrapbooks, and related material, document the campus and dormitory activities of the residents of Southeast/Putnam Hall from 1953 through 1998 and contain photographs, newspaper clippings, invitations, programs, newsletters, information booklets, etc. Events covered in the albums include social activities (homecoming, dances, parties, holiday celebrations, etc.) and campus involvement of residents (queens, honors, athletics, etc.), as well as major happenings at KSU, such as the burning of Nichols Gym in 1968. The volumes were created and maintained by students in the hall (usually a historian) and donated to the University Archives in 1998.

The Photographic Services photographs include photo cards and digital copies (CDs) of Landon Lectures, campus buildings, sports, staff, and college activities. All photographs were taken by Photographic Services of Kansas State University, between 1963 and 2008. Notable lecturers include George Bush, Sr., Jimmy Carter, Gerald R. Ford, John McCain, Sandra Day O'Connor, and Ronald Reagan. Also emphasized are photographs of football, student ambassadors, Nichols Hall, the Student Union, and the colleges of Agriculture, Architecture, and Engineering.

This collection contains material ranging from 1915 to 1999 from the Kansas State University chapter of Phi Kappa Phi and was aquired in two different accessions. Included are chapter minutes, membership records, financial reports, banquet programs, various correspondence, awards, original charter, and published materials.

The collection is composed of materials relating to the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, and the Delta chapter located at Kansas State University. A portion of the collection is devoted to chapter member Frank Marshall Davis, which includes three of his publications and correspondence between Davis and Kansas State University faculty member, Carol E. Oukrop. The chapter materials also include exhibit contents of physical items and web archives of a later online exhibit. The collection also has some of Phi Beta Sigma's Conclave programs, their national publication, The Crescent, and multiple yearbooks featuring Phi Beta Sigma members. Additional items include group photographs of the Alpha Sigma chapter, artifacts from previous conclaves, and a large Phi Beta Sigma banner. Another item of note is the George A. Parker scrapbook; Parker was a delegate to the 1964 Republican National Convention.

The Phi Beta Kappa, Beta of Kansas chapter, records include materials documenting the local and national organizations.  The local chapter began in 1974, and records pre-dating that year include national records such as constitutions, by-laws, newsletters and other publications, a history, manuals, and letterhead.
The local Beta of Kansas chapter includes organizational operating records such as minutes, officer records, financial records, membership rolls, and chapter correspondence.  These local records also include society honors records such as initiation rites, speeches, and honors banquets.
A letter of note is one from Aldous Huxley responding to a request for him to speak.

This collection is composed of materials that were gathered and donated by department staff member Pat Patton and includes artifacts, photographs, articles, books, scrapbooks, and other memorabilia related to the history of Kansas State University between the late 1880s and 2008. The materials described in the container list include 1) research topics of Ms. Patton, such as Minnie Howell Champe (first African American woman to graduate from K-State) and the local chapter of Phi Beta Sigma, and 2) items she collected, including athletics materials and documentation of student life and culture.

Materials held in this collection pertain to professor emerita of archeology and anthropology Patricia "Pat" J. O’Brien and her nearly 31-year career at Kansas State University. The collection includes proposals for expanded curricula within the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work, reviews of this department from the Kansas Board of Regents, and documentation of events relative to the 500th anniversary of Columbus reaching the New World. Other contents include photographs from 2005 razing of the Kansas Artificial Breeding Service buildings that were on the original site of Bluemont Central College (K-State predecessor and the first site of K-State), documentation related to the Bluemont Central College monument, recorded and scripted correspondence between Pat and her friends, her latest curriculum vitae (2004), and limited correspondence with other renowned archeologists and anthropologists. Also included are oral histories with Abby Lindsey Marlatt in September 2005.

This collection is made up of documents created by the office of the provost and senior vice president at Kansas State University.  Documents in the collection consist of a wide range of material from the office administrative files, class documents, department and dean files, program reviews, role and aspirations, strategic planning, university events, COCAO, president's staff, Board of Regents, Dean's Council, grievances, university awards, and vice provost papers.  Some records document the interactions with other universities in the state of Kansas and universities nationally.  The bulk of the materials are from the 1980s to 2010 with most of the other documents dating back to the 1970s.

These thirty-four (34) volumes of letterpress copybooks document presidential and college administration correspondence at Kansas State Agricultural College, now Kansas State University, between 1871 and 1901. Only one volume is incoming correspondence and the remaining volumes are copies of outgoing correspondence. The records of the Office of Student Activities and Services (OSAS) at Kansas State University span from 1946 to 2013. The office oversees student organziations on campus, including the Student Governing Association, and contents relate to the administration of student activities and services by the office, as well as Student Governing Association (SGA) records and information about student organizations.
SGA records include agendas, minutes, election information, and legislation and statutes of the student senate. Agendas include some years between 1998-1999 and 2003-2004. Minutes cover most years between 1946-1947 and 1996-1997. Election information is from 1989-1990 to 1992-1993. Legislation and statutes span from 1967-1968 to 2008-2009. Additional types of materials include reports, fine arts council annual reports, committee documentation, and budget and allocation records from some years between 1995-1996 and 2005-2006.
A small portion of the materials relate to student government efforts to save Nichols Gym between 1975 and 1984, and include correspondence, reports, a petition, flyers, clippings, and materials related to the Nichols Hall art competition. People frequently appearing in the collection include Greg Musil, Larry Weigel, Eric Bransby, and many faculty and administrators at the university.
OSAS records include the office newsletter, "Paper Money Plus," from 1972 to 1992, as well as reports, procedures and guidelines, and budget items from 2006 to 2012. Much of the latter content focuses on fiscal procedures, financial reports, and budget allocations for student organizations.
The largest series of records are student organization registration records, which are in alphabetical order. Included are names of officer, constitutions, bylaws, and similar types of information.

These records include a partnership agreement between Fort Riley and Kansas State University, as well as the Fort Riley-2015 Campaign Plan and a pamphlet about on-campus housing at Saunders Barracks, all between 2009 and 2011.

The Nellie Kedzie Jones series is part of the College of Human Ecology historical files at Kansas State University. Nellie Sawyer Kedzie Jones was an 1876 alumna who returned to lead domestic science instruction from 1882 until 1897. This series reflects papers related to her and her relatives and friends.
The first subseries pertains to Nellie Sawyer Kedzie Jones with dates between 1889 and 1955. Contents include developments in human ecology and are reflected in publications, printed materials, published works, manuscripts, typescripts, awards, and correspondence. Materials are organized chronologically within each group.
The second subseries is devoted to Howard Murray Jones, Nellie's husband from 1901 until his death in 1953. He was a minister, including time as a professor and administrator at Berea College. Contents include minimal correspondence along with writings, sermons, and printed materials. His sermons are arranged chronologically divided between typed and handwritten. Because he often used sermons twice, there are two dates on the manuscripts. The bulk of the materials pertains to religion and Christianity.
The third through ninth subseries contain information about friends and relatives of Howard and Nellie. Included are documents associated with the Fairchild family (Frank, David, and George Fairchild), Abby and Charles Marlatt, Gertrude and Theodore Jessup, Robert Clark Kedzie (Nellie's first husband who died in 1882), Addison Jones, his father, Ada Alice Tuttle, and Helen M. Jones. Types of material include news articles, correspondence, memoranda, printed materials, scrapbooks, and biographical information.
The tenth subseries includes five items relevant to Nellie: an autograph book, a scrapbook, a personal Bible, an award ribbon, and a leather pouch or wallet (unknown origin or ownership).
The final subseries includes photographs of Nellie and those associated with her. They are divided by group photos, photos of her, and photos of others who include Robert Clark Kedzie, Howard Murray Jones, the Fairchilds, and others.

Materials include research notes from Ms. Reay's 1999 book, Land Grant Ladies: Kansas State University Presidential Wives, typescript with handwritten notes of a speech given in 2009, Christmas card and letter from 2008 that Joseph Denison's great-grandson sent to Ms. Chance-Reay, a scrap of fleece that bears the Kansas State University imprint from 2011, a letter from Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor from 2011, Cherokee Area Archives first lady photograph, Land Grant Ladies Book Review, A first lady cookbook, PEO magazine and yearbook, and Domestic Science Club information and materials.

These materials are records documenting the development and history of McCain Auditorium, the campus cultural center for the live performing arts since 1970. The bulk of the collection consists of programs, broadsides, contracts, newspaper articles, administrative files, and photographs. Of note, are programs from the first performance in the auditorium and early performance broadsides.
The McCain Performance Series includes handbills, programs, and season brochures of performances between the years of 1970 and 2010.
The Internal Records includes advertisements of McCain performances, contracts with performers, correspondence between McCain and the performers, financial reports on the cost of events, grants that were written to help pay for various events, and press kits made available to newspapers, television, and radio stations to advertise events. There are also 105 3.5" floppy disks and 62 5.25" floppy disks with internal documents.  The 3.5" floppy disks include material such as advertisements, brochures, database files, events, and Friends of McCain mailing list.  The 5.25" floppy disks include material such as advertisements, brochures, budgets, calendar events, fonts, lighting information, mailing lists, newsletters, photographs, postcards, posters, press releases, programs, sponsors information, surveys, system disks, and workshop information.  There are two boxes that are oversized that house advertisement mock-ups of performances and events.
Photographs and Slides include some of the artists participating in the McCain Performance Series and the Other McCain Performance and Events Series. Box 59 houses oversize photographs that include photographs of McCain Auditorium and the Philharmonic of China.
Other McCain Performances and Events include Kansas State University (KSU) organizations such as KSU Bands, KSU Chamber Music Series, Department of Music, Theater, and Dance, K-State Orchestra, K-State Players, K-State Singers, Men and Women's Glee Clubs, and Spring Dance.
The Friends of McCain includes advertising and promotion of Friends events, list of board of directors, monthly board minutes, yearly budgets, correspondence between the board of directors and members of Friends, financial reports of funds raised and spent on events, reports from the KSU Foundation Center of donors designating their donations to Friends of McCain, fundraising brochures and campaigns such as the Yearly Holiday Home Tours, membership lists of Friends of McCain, Friends of McCain newsletters, and season campaign brochures.
Media: CDs, Audio Cassettes, and Reel-to-Reel Tapes are made up of one box. It contains two CDs, 24 audio cassettes, three reel-to-reel tapes. The two CDs are titled McCain Movie and are not dated.  The audio cassettes titles include Women Light 21, Women Heavy 40, Men Light 10 and 5, Men Heavy 13, 16 and 22 Dolby, Men Heavy 28 and 40, McCain Auditorium with Tag, Frances Mayes Lecture, Posing Music, Cathy Hougland, and Women Light 25, David and Cathy Hougland "Cool the Exgines," Big River "Running to the River," and Reduced Shakespeare Company, "The Bible."  The titles of the Reel-to-Reel tapes are New York City Opera National Company "Figaro" and La Boheme Radio Ads and Gypsy Radio Ad.

Oversize is made up of McCain Performance Series and Other McCain Performance and Events Broadsides and Blueprints of McCain Auditorium.  The broadsides are extra large posters advertising the date and time of a particular performance. The broadsides include performances such as ballets, plays and musical plays, operas, and concerts.  Some ballets performed were The Nutcracker by Ballet Oklahoma, Kyiv Ballet and the Tulsa Ballet, Swan Lake by the Russian National Ballet, The Sleeping Beauty by Houston Ballet, and Romeo & Juliet by Ballet West and The St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre.  Plays and musical plays performed include Winnie the Pooh, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof by the Montana Repertory Theatre, Sweeney Todd, Cats, Hairspray, Babes in Toyland, Fiddler on the Roof, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Diary of Anne Frank by the Montana Repertory Theatre, The Sound of Music, John Amos in Halley's Comet and Ted Neely in Jesus Christ Superstar.  Some operas performed include La Boheme by the Texas Opera Theatre, Rigoletto and Madame Butterfly by the New York City Opera National Touring Company, The Barber of Seville by the Western Opera Theatre, Die Fledermaus by the Kansas State University Opera Theatre, The Merry Widow by the London City Opera and Die Zauberflote (The Magic Flute) presented by Mozart Festival Opera. Concerts performed include Vienna Choir Boys, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, National Philharmonic of Russia, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, The Uptown String Quartet, Canadian Brass, Venice Baroque Orchestra, and the Kronos Quartet.
The Blueprints of McCain Auditorium are of when the auditorium was first being built.  These blueprints are of the lighting systems throughout the auditorium.

The Lucille Byarlay Abel papers include diaries of Lucille's time as a student at Kansas State Agricultural College and Kansas State College from 1928 to 1937.  She created the entries in the day books and collected comments and signatures in the autograph books from classmates, friends, and acquaintances.  Additional materials include transcriptions of the diaries, Kansas maps, genealogy charts, photographs, newspaper clippings, legal documents, and a name index.  Subjects include her courtship with Orval Abel, her teaching duties in Clay County, Kansas, rural social activities in the 1930s, and genealogy.

The Louis H. Douglas papers document the career of Douglas and the lecture series that was named after him at Kansas State University. Included are photographs of Douglas and speakers at the lecture series, as well as additional documentation regarding his time as a political science professor at Kansas State University from 1949–1977 and the Lou Douglas Lecture Series that began in 1980.

This collection includes an undated information sheet describing the K-Laires in a question and answer format. It includes information about purpose, activities, cost, membership requirements, benefits and meeting times. A constitution and bylaws from 1978 provide details about name, purpose, membership, officers, meetings, dues, amendments, and rules of order. There is no explanation of what the name K-Laires means. Advisor responsibilities are listed on a separate document. An undated organization information sheet for the Royal Purple yearbook and a 1992 registration form for the University Activities Board provide additional information including a number of members, membership composition, activities, and contact information for officers.
Agendas for 1991-1992 and 1992-93 list activities for each academic year.  There are two meeting agendas and a Spring Festival Committee sign-up sheet from 1992. Minutes from the spring business meeting in 1983, 1984, and 1985 name newly elected officers and describe plans and assignments.  Extensive minutes from meetings held during the 1986-1987 academic year provide the most insight into the K-Laires. The minutes' record member recruitment, event planning, announcements, voting outcomes, budget reports, activity calendars, elections, and faculty advisor selection.  Brief notes from two fall 1987 meetings describe events. Minutes from the 1988-1989 academic year record business meeting topics and describe dances giving an indication of how they were viewed by participants.  From 1992, there is an agenda for the 30 August meeting, and minutes; dues, membership, activities, and a treasury report were covered. Minutes from the 27 September meeting state there are only two to four student members and that the club will shut down for the year and try again in 1993-94.
Correspondence consists of four letters. From 1986 there is a letter to officers and a letter requesting a public service announcement about the K-Laires be made. From 1992, there is a letter to University Activity Board registered organizations and a letter from a caller requesting calendar dates. Financial documents consist of a checkbook register covering 1985-1991 and an undated checkbook register, receipts from 1991-1992, student union room reservation rental information, a bank statement showing a balance of $11.66 in July 1993, and detailed financial ledgers from 1982-1990. Membership information consists of contact information lists from 1991-1993, dance attendance sheets from 1991-1992, undated name badges, and guest book pages from 1982-1986 and 1991-1992. A computerized printout of names and addresses is identified as an alumni list current as of 14 September 1986.
Numerous colorful flyers advertise square dance lessons, dances on campus sponsored by the K-Laires, square dances held in Manhattan, and square dances sponsored by various clubs throughout Kansas.  The flyers have dates and locations and most provide the name of the callers and the cuers. The K-Laires were members of the North Central District of the Kansas Square Dance Association (KSDA); there is a 1991 bylaws book for the District and an undated blank dance booklet. A 1992 copy of Travel On -- Square Dancing in Kansas, a quarterly KSDA publication, lists a K-Laires’ dance. A collection of “dangles” or badges collected from various dances are undated. There are two large purple and white felt banners with the name of the club and figures of a square dancing couple.

The Women's Center records document the development and history of the Women's Center, known originally as the Women's Resource Center and today as CARE (Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education). The materials are divided into administrative records, Campaigns for Nonviolence (CNV), Proactive Educators for the Elimination of Sexual violence (PEERS), Wildcats Against Rape (WAR), photographs, artifacts, and posters.

The administrative records includes the history of the Women's Center, class resources, conferences (including one conference titled "Coming Out Day Conference" for the LGBT community), correspondence, handouts, office policies and procedures, newsletters, presentations, reports, workshops for women, the young women's project, four booklets empowering women to become leaders, and one CD with a note that reads "Future Music Possibilities." Class resources are Modules 1–6 in printed form and Modules 1–7 on a Zip disk, which were used in the "Students in Oral Communication I & IA: Speaking of Issues Relating to Women...and Men" class. The young women's project includes information on body image, eating disorders, dating, clothes, grades, and peer pressure.  A special project of the Women's Center was the Empty Bowls Project to raise funds and awareness in the fight to end hunger.

CNV materials include documentation of rallies and campaigns, history, speakers' information, campaigns and seminars, publicity, brochures, newspaper articles, one Beta video recording (Campaign for Nonviolence, July 2004), eleven CDs of photographs and information pertaining to the seasons for nonviolence, one audiocassette (CNV Rally 2001 that aired on radio station 580AM), and records pertaining to a program called "SafeZone."

PEERS records describe educational offerings about sexual violence, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and sexual harassment for women and men. Other materials include the book "Replacing Skeleton Key Thinking With Common Sense and Awareness" by Peggy Gene and Jennifer Schmidt, published by the The Stephanie Schmidt Foundation.

WAR records include documentation of activities such as pub crawls, run against rape, season for nonviolence city park dog walk, take back the day, and the date safe project. Other records include photographic prints, digital photographs, and advertising.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation Forensic Laboratory Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit is the only artifact in this collection.

Forty posters document the Center's efforts to educate students and community members and encourage them to participate in reducing the problem of sexual violence on campus, in the community, and in the African Congo. Examples include "Can I Buy You a Drink?," "The Art of Rape," "Force is Never Friendly," "Take Back the Night," "Preventing Violence Against Women on Campus," "Contemplate Act, Walk the Paths of Peace, Moonlight Walk on the Konza Prairie," "Walk the Paths of Peace, A Season for Nonviolence, Wildcats Against Rape presents reading from Purple Cried," "Purple Cried, K-State Students' Stories of Assault," and "Campaign for Nonviolence, 64 Ways to Practice Nonviolence."

The Kansas State Agricultural College records were generated and collected by KSAC, the organization that eventually came to be known as Kansas State University. The records pertain to sales of land to establish the college, physical improvements of buildings, and details about college life at the time. They document correspondence to KSAC Presidents (including Joseph Denison, John A. Anderson, and George T. Fairchild). Significant topics covered in the material include leasing land for the Manhattan Street Railway, demands by students for German to be added to the curriculum, "college greenbacks" (a type of banknote issued for use on campus), tuberculosis tests in cattle, industrials (a nineteenth and early twentieth century form of work-study at this institution), and various financial records. Approximate years covered by the records are 1868-1902.

This accession includes media coverage, photographs, and publications of the Kansas Regents Educational Communications Center from 1988 to 2009.  Media coverage includes local and national outlets, as well as press releases, and covers the activities and awards of the center.  Photos include President Jon Wefald, center director Mel Chastain, and Board of Regents member Charles Hostetler at the ground breaking in 1989, as well as Senator Bob Dole and others on a tour later that year.
